Krefeld (dpa / lnw) - A 49-year-old man was stabbed to death in Krefeld.
He was found dead in his former partner's apartment on Tuesday evening, police and prosecutors announced on Thursday.
The 47-year-old Polish woman is under suspicion.
She was arrested and was due to be brought before the judge on Thursday.
At first there was no further information on the course of the crime or the motive.
The victim was also a Pole.
Neighbors had alerted the police because a cat kept scratching a window in the apartment.
The officers found the dead man in the apartment.
The apartment was already empty because the 47-year-old had been given notice and she had to move out by the end of March.
