The images are impressive, but the victims are only slightly injured.

Two people were in a two-seater plane which crashed on Wednesday just after takeoff at Longueville aerodrome in Gaillac, in the Tarn.

The crash occurred at midday, in vineyards near the track.

The two occupants, fifty and sixty, were able to extract themselves from the carcass before the arrival of firefighters, from Gaillac, but also from Cahuzac-sur-Vère and Lisle-sur-Tarn.

A gendarmerie investigation was opened to determine the causes of this accident, the consequences of which could have been much more dramatic.
