Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - Because he is said to have run into a man at the train station in Waghäusel (Karlsruhe district) in front of an arriving freight train, a 26-year-old will be tried.

The public prosecutor accuses him of attempted murder and dangerous physical harm.

At the end of July last year, he prevented the 54-year-old from saving himself on the platform with hits and kicks.

The train caught the man who was seriously injured.

Starting today, Wednesday, the alleged main culprit is said to have his 23-year-old brother in the dock in the Karlsruhe district court, who is charged with aiding and abetting.

The public prosecutor said he had secured the crime scene.

At the time, the victim sat on the waiting bench at the train station and stated that he had been attacked suddenly for no apparent reason.

The police arrested the suspected brother and sister from Syria in a communal accommodation for asylum seekers.

So far, four dates have been set for the process until April 23
