Stuttgart (AP) - Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart will have to do without national striker Nicolas Gonzalez for a long time again.

The Argentine suffered a small torn muscle fiber in his right thigh during training on Wednesday morning and is expected to be out for two to three weeks, the club announced.

The 22-year-old will definitely be missing in the home games against Werder Bremen on Sunday and Borussia Dortmund on April 10th.

The injury to Gonzalez, who had to pass several times during the season due to various injuries, makes the personal situation of the Swabians on the offensive much more difficult, at least for the time being.

Silas Wamangituka suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee in the 4-0 defeat in the last away game at Bayern Munich.

The Congolese are missing from VfB for several months.
