He commented on the corresponding proposal of the chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov.

“Yes, such an instrument is possible, including in the case of malicious failure to fulfill the state defense order by individual enterprises,” TASS quoted Putin as saying.

He also stated that such a step would be extreme.

The President added that it is not at all necessary that "this measure will lead to an increase in economic efficiency and an increase in the viability of the enterprise."
