Kempten / Rosenheim (dpa / lby) - The police want to intensify their controls in Alpine excursion traffic over the Easter holidays.

After the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South, the headquarters in Kempten announced on Wednesday that they would be more closely monitored in popular excursion regions with the help of the riot police.

The focus is therefore particularly on parking offenders and wild campers, but motorcyclists should also be checked.

In southern Upper Bavaria, too, the police want to keep excursion traffic and the flow of visitors on the holidays in order with increased controls.

The officials had already started last weekend, a spokesman said on Wednesday.

In the communities of Samerberg and Brannenburg in the Inn valley, in particular, several illegal parkers were fined.

The spokesman emphasized that it is difficult to predict where there will be many visitors over Easter.

"It always depends a lot on the weather."
