This was reported by the Moscow City News Agency.

It is noted that the grocery store is one of the symbols and the hallmark of Moscow.

"Premises" Eliseevsky "are owned by the city and at the same time are the subject of litigation by the tenant of retail space.

The Moscow government intends to keep this unique object under the jurisdiction of the city, ”the press service noted.

The department indicated that it does not matter who is the owner or user of the object, since in any case a protection agreement will be concluded with him with obligations to preserve an architectural monument, a cultural heritage object of federal significance.

As explained in the press service, the threat of a possible closure of the grocery store is not connected with the tenant's property claims against the city and legal disputes.

“The termination of the store's functioning is a consequence of commercial relations between the tenant and the sub-tenant of the retail space, as well as the difficulties common to the premium segment retailers.

The city has nothing to do with the narrow-branch problems of the investor, ”the department said.

Earlier, RT reported that the country's Eliseevsky Moscow grocery store, which opened more than a century ago, may stop working.
