March 31, 2021 In the square on Good Friday to tell their Via Crucis.

Thus the entrepreneurs of five "sanctuary cities" to represent "their drama and their enormous concern for the future".

On April 2, hundreds of merchants and tour operators from Assisi, Cascia, Loreto, Pompeii and San Giovanni Rotondo will unite in a "peaceful and in compliance with the rules, but extremely determined" protest of those who "do not give up to die in the indifference".

The initiative is by Confcommercio Assisi, which coordinated the protest of the entrepreneurial realities "exhausted by the economic crisis".

The appeal of the small businesses of the five sanctuary cities, to the Government and to the parliamentarians of the regions involved, is "to create the conditions for the aid to really arrive, quickly and consistently with the damage suffered in this very long year with zero collections".

"We are forgotten among the forgotten," they say.

The events, coordinated by the territorial divisions of Confcommercio, will be held in Assisi, in Piazza del Vescovado, in Cascia, in Roccaporena, in Loreto, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, in Pompeii, in Piazza Bartolo Longo, and in San Giovanni Rotondo, in the square in front of the conventual church sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

The supply chain linked to tourism is exhausted ", says Confcommercio." From Assisi, Cascia, Loreto, Pompeii and San Giovanni Rotondo - explains the organization -, small businesses are asking for a special attention.

A special, immediate and structural intervention is needed.

These precious, small towns don't give up on becoming dark empty boxes. "
