Cairo / Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Two days after the Suez Canal blockade ended, four ships belonging to the Hamburg shipping company Hapag-Lloyd are stuck in traffic.

The shipping company announced on its website on Wednesday that it was the "Al Rawdah", the "New York Express", the "Warnow Master" and the "Tokyo Bay".

Three Hapag-Lloyd ships passed the Suez Canal on Tuesday.

The "Laila" and the "Athenian" should follow on Wednesday.

According to the shipping company, a total of 355 ships are currently waiting for a passage through the canal.

Hapag-Lloyd continues to assume that the traffic jam will clear up by the weekend.

On Monday, after just under a week, the rescue team succeeded in getting the 400-meter-long container freighter “Ever Given” back on the road and clearing the fairway.
