Of the three options considered to fight against the spread of the epidemic, the most radical seems favored by the executive.

Towards the most radical option

Because since Tuesday evening, the atmosphere has changed.

Emmanuel Macron and Jean Castex saw each other at the Elysee Palace to adjust their positions and three options then seemed on the table.

The first, a simple adjustment of current measures, by switching a few additional departments under the confinement regime.

The second, bring forward school holidays in the three regions most affected by the virus, in other words, close schools.

Finally, the third and more radical option that the executive seems to favor today, that of hard confinement, to put a big brake on mixing and social interactions.

A solution that Emmanuel Macron, today at the foot of the wall, did everything to avoid.
