China News Service, Beijing, March 31st (Guo Chaokai, Zheng Yingying) At 6:45 on March 31st, Beijing time, China successfully launched the Gaofen 12 02 satellite using the Long March 4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center , The satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit.

The satellites and rockets launched this time were all developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

Gaofen No.12 02 star is mainly used in the fields of national land survey, urban planning, land right confirmation, road network design, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.

The Long March 4C carrier rocket and the Gaofen 12 satellite were both developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The Long March 4C launch vehicle for this launch mission is a liquid three-stage launch vehicle at room temperature. It has excellent performance and a wide range of uses. It has the ability to launch multiple types of satellites with different orbital requirements. It can be launched by one or more satellites. Its sun-synchronous circular orbit has a carrying capacity of up to 3 tons (orbital height of 700 kilometers).

At the beginning of 2021, the long four model will enter the high-density launch rhythm.

This mission is the fourth launch mission of the Chang 4 model this year; it is also the first time that a full-time testing and launching team has undertaken the launch site test launch work, marking a major change in the testing and launching mode of the Eighth Academy of Transportation in the field.

In order to meet the needs of high-density launch, fully release design resources, and continuously improve the efficiency of test and launch, the Chang-4 model drew the backbone forces of each system to form a "professional launch vehicle test and launch team". The team uses a more "safe, accurate, professional, standardized, and efficient" work model to ensure the test launch of the launch vehicle.

At the same time, the mission also established a "technical support group" composed of senior consultants and system chief designers to provide technical support and guarantee for various tasks at the launch site.

This mission is the 364th space flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
