31 March 2021Jannik Sinner wins his first semifinal in a Masters 1000. Mission accomplished for the 19 year old from Sesto Pusteria, who beats Alexander Bublik in the quarterfinals of the "Miami Open", the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season, with a prize pool of $ 4,299,205 which is taking place - combined with the WTA 1000 - on the hard courts of the Hard Rock Stadium, Florida.

Sinner, number 31 in the ranking and 21st seeded, manages to get the better of the Kazakh - also for the first time in the quarterfinals in a tournament of this category and already defeated two weeks ago in Dubai - for 7-6 (5) 6-4 after an hour and 41 minutes of play.

Uphill departure for the blue, who loses his service in the third game but sets the counterbreak when Bublik goes to serve for the set at 5-4, then going to take the first set at the tie-break.

Same trend in the second set, where the Kazakh flies 3-0 before suffering a comeback from Sinner.

So the season of coach Piatti's pupil continues in a great way, in this 2021 he won the "Great Ocean Road Open" in Melbourne (second ATP title in his career) and the quarterfinals in Marseille and Dubai.

In Miami, where he has beaten Gaston, Khachanov and Ruusuvuori as well as Bublik so far, he is now waiting for the winner of the quarter-final that pits Daniil Medvedev and Roberto Bautista Agut against him.
