A father, already known to the police for acts of domestic violence, was arrested Monday at Part-Dieu station (Rhône), we learned this Wednesday from the Lyon police.

The day before, the man had tried to defenestrate his pregnant wife by pushing her over the railing of their apartment in Givors.

And that in front of their two daughters.

The eldest, only four years old, tried to stop her but was violently pushed back, investigators say.

She has an open wound and a bruise on her right cheekbone.

As for the second, aged 2 and a half, she was found in a state of shock.

Judged in immediate appearance this Wednesday

The mother then took refuge with a neighbor with her two children while her husband fled.

She filed a complaint in the wake.

The man was therefore arrested the next morning before being taken into police custody.

He admitted the facts but tried to play them down, blaming it on stress.

He will be judged this Wednesday in immediate appearance.
