Accused of embezzlement of public funds and corruption, prosecuted in several courts around the world, Isabel Dos Santos, considered before 2017 as the richest woman in Africa, counterattack.

She lodged a complaint in a London court against Angolan President João Lourenço, accusing him of " 

conspiracy 

" aimed in particular at urging " 

his property

 ".

Isabel Dos Santos has gone to great lengths to bring to court the supposed proofs of what she is claiming.

Indeed, she called on the services of a private intelligence company, Black Cube.

The latter, founded by former Mossad agents, the Israeli secret service, allegedly registered without their knowledge several senior Angolan officials, including Carlos Saturnino, president of

the national oil company, Sonangol

.

But also the relatives of an influential adviser to President Lourenço, Manuel Vicente.

According to Isabel Dos Santos, these recordings would prove that there is within the Angolan power a group whose goal would be to " 

conceive and coordinate a campaign of seizure of assets

" against her.

She mentions in particular the pressures on justice and also affirms that the

, these leaks in the press which revealed the alleged embezzlement of the Dos Santos clan, were in fact an " 

attack by the Angolan secret services

 ".

Asset freeze

At the heart of this battle, there is in particular the control of Isabel Dos Santos' participation in the capital of Unitel, the large private telephone company.

The freezing of the assets of Isabel Dos Santos by the Angolan justice, then Portuguese was for her a severe blow.

Luanda claims that the one who was the richest woman in Africa could only build her empire by drawing on state coffers.
