The National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced that the 500-meter spherical radio telescope (FAST), known as the "China Sky Eye", will issue an invitation to astronomers around the world at 0:00 on March 31, Beijing time, to solicit applications for observations.

This also means that from this moment on, the "China Sky Eye" has become the "world's giant eye", officially open to the world.

According to the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "China Sky Eye" is the largest single-aperture and most sensitive radio telescope in the world with independent intellectual property rights in China.

Since the start of operation through national acceptance in January 2020, the "China Sky Eye" facility has been operating stably and reliably. The number of pulsars discovered has reached 300, and major breakthroughs have been made in research fields such as rapid radio bursts.

Based on the principle of open sky, "China Sky Eye" issued an invitation to astronomers all over the world at 0:00, Beijing time on March 31, 2021, to solicit observation applications (you can log in fast.bao.ac.cn/proposal_submit to view the notice and submit the application) , All foreign application projects will participate in the review.

The evaluation results of the solicited projects will be announced on July 20, 2021, and the observation time will begin in August 2021.
