The Administrative Court of Appeal of Marseille rejected the request of the city of Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), concerning the opening of municipal museums, decided by the mayor, Louis Aliot (RN), in February, despite the health measures to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic banning it.

The Catalan municipality had requested the annulment of the order of the administrative court of Montpellier, which had suspended the municipal decrees which had allowed natural history museums, museums, Hyacinthe-Rigaud, and Casa Paira to welcome the public .

The city argued that the decision was not sufficiently motivated

The city of Perpignan had argued that the judge had "insufficiently motivated his order", and that the sanitary measures were "neither necessary, nor adapted, nor proportionate to the objective of preserving public health".

The Administrative Court of Appeal swept his request, pointing to the restrictions put in place by the state to curb the Covid-19 epidemic.
