Munich (dpa / lby) - According to Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), 20 percent of the Bavarian population should have received an initial vaccination against the corona virus by the beginning of May.

Around 40,000 vaccine doses are currently administered in the Free State every day.

In order to achieve this goal, Bavaria wants to largely dissolve the emergency reserves and soon vaccinate around the clock.

"There is no Easter rest for vaccination," said Söder.

In addition to the vaccination centers, where up to 70,000 vaccinations are possible daily, the resident doctors would also vaccinate from Wednesday, Söder said on Tuesday in Munich after a video switch, among other things, with representatives of general practitioners and municipalities on the further vaccination strategy.

It starts with 1635 practices and 33,000 cans.

At the end of April and beginning of May, the Bavarian economy is to be integrated.

As early as April, the vaccination of larger employers by their company doctors is to begin with around ten model projects.

As in the eastern Bavarian border regions with the Czech Republic, the sequence of vaccinations will be changed.
