Maria Lestander, who is a police officer in Arvidsjaur and Arjeplog, trained as a UAS pilot during the autumn.

The idea is that she and two other UAS pilots with camera-equipped drones will prevent, deter and detect hunting crimes in large parts of Arjeplog municipality.

Camera surveillance takes place between March 11 and June 15.

The work will be planned, but the UAS pilots are also prepared to pull out if there is information about suspected hunting crimes.
