Munich (dpa / lby) - The sale of individual corona self-tests from bulk packs has not yet been allowed in pharmacies.

Bavaria's Minister of Health, Klaus Holetschek (CSU), thinks this is impractical: "I will instruct the governments to allow the self-tests delivered by pharmacies to be isolated," he said in Munich on Tuesday.

"This is important so that as many citizens as possible can buy such tests in an uncomplicated way from the pharmacy they trust."

According to the specifications of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, bulk packs of self-tests with up to 100 copies in pharmacies are not allowed to be isolated.

Among other things, this is to prevent individual tests from being sold without instructions for use.

"The countries are responsible for monitoring the sale of the self-tests," said the minister.

“On this basis, we want to tolerate retail sales in pharmacies.

I have no doubt that the pharmacies can guarantee this professionally and under the highest hygiene precautions. "

Responsibility and liability lies with the pharmacies in the event of tolerance.
