Los Angeles (AP) - The US singer, actress and author Jessica Simpson (40, "A Duke rarely comes alone") was infected with the corona virus.
The mother of three announced this on Instagram.
In the posting Simpson also announced the publication of an essay entitled "Take The Lead" in which she writes about parenting, self-acceptance and overcoming fear.
The past year was particularly intense for her, as it was for many people.
"I started writing the essay the same day I got my positive test result for Covid-19," explains Simpson.
However, she did not allow herself to be guided by fear, but felt strong and indestructible.
She did not comment on the course of her illness.
In her autobiography “Open Book”, published in early 2020, Simpson revealed a previous alcohol and pill addiction.
