Israel has issued travel warnings to the UAE, Bahrain, Turkey and other countries bordering Iran, Bloomberg reports.

The Israeli National Security Council said, in a statement, that during the past few months, Iranian groups have threatened to strike Israeli targets.

In this regard, the Israeli statement indicated that a small explosion occurred last January near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, which Indian officials linked to Iran.

The Council expressed its belief that Iran would continue to try to strike Israeli targets in the near future.

Since then, Israel and Iran have traded accusations of bombings targeting cargo ships.

Last November, Tehran pledged revenge for the assassination of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in an assassination that it blamed on Israel and the United States.

The UAE has become a tourist destination for Israelis after the normalization of relations last year, but travel has stopped for most of 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
