China News Service, March 30. According to Reuters, citing a report on the 30th by Iran’s national television station "Press TV", an unnamed Iranian official said that until the United States lifts all sanctions, Iran will not stop 20% uranium enrichment activities.

This is the latest Iranian response to the United States.

U.S. media previously reported that the U.S. government plans to put forward a new proposal requiring Iran to suspend certain nuclear activities, such as the development of advanced centrifuges and 20% uranium enrichment activities, in exchange for the lifting of some sanctions by the United States.

On March 30, “Press TV” stated on its website, “A senior Iranian official stated that Iran will stop its 20% uranium enrichment activities only if the United States lifts all sanctions.”

In July 2015, Iran reached a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue with the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

According to the agreement, Iran promised to restrict its nuclear program and the international community lifted sanctions against Iran.

In May 2018, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement, and subsequently restarted and added a series of sanctions against Iran.

After the United States expressed its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement, Iran continued to increase its abundance of enriched uranium, but it was far less than 90% of the requirement for nuclear weapons.

The Iranian government has repeatedly stated that if the United States lifts sanctions, related nuclear activities will be "reversible."
