On March 29, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada announced the imposition of sanctions against two individuals and four legal entities from Russia in connection with the situation in Crimea.

On March 30, Australia imposed sanctions on four companies and one individual from Russia.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
