Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) - A 64-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a serious accident near Euskirchen.
A 21-year-old driver was critically injured.
The 64-year-old and another motorcyclist were on Tuesday, according to information from the police control center, on a country road near Euskirchen when the driver suddenly came out of a smaller side street.
The 64-year-old couldn't avoid it and crashed into the side of the car.
He died at the scene of the accident.
The driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed.
A helicopter brought the critically injured man to a clinic.
The second motorcyclist got away with minor injuries.
His machine had only touched the car lightly and landed in the ditch, as the control center said.
