Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - After the agreement between employers and IG Metall on a pilot degree in North Rhine-Westphalia, no negotiations are initially planned for Thuringia.

"We haven't had an appointment yet," said the spokesman for IG Metall Mitte, Uwe Stoffregen, of the German press agency on Tuesday.

IG Metall wants to talk to employers about taking over the degree in North Rhine-Westphalia soon.

However, an appointment before Easter is unlikely.

In the metal and electrical industry, employers and IG Metall in North Rhine-Westphalia agreed on a collective agreement on Tuesday night.

Among other things, this provides for a corona bonus and annually recurring special payments for employees in the state.

In Thuringia, there is a collective agreement for around 20,000 employees that is negotiated separately.

According to the spokeswoman for the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry, Ute Zacharias, the members' council will first be informed of the decision made during the night.

A coordination of the companies is planned immediately after Easter.
