Dümpelfeld (dpa / lrs) - A serious motorcycle accident occurred in the Ahrweiler district on Monday in which two motorcyclists were seriously injured.
According to initial findings, they overtook a car driving in the direction of Hönningen on the straight route on the B257 near Dümpelfeld, as the Mayen police department announced in the evening.
When cutting back in, one of the motorcycles hit the one in front.
Both motorcyclists fell.
Their machines skidded across the road.
One of the two motorcycles then crashed head-on into an oncoming car, the second motorcycle slightly against another oncoming car. The motorcyclists came to hospitals.
