Kiel (dpa / lno) - In the process of organized gang fraud by false police officers, a 28-year-old defendant wants to confess comprehensively to the Kiel district court today.
The man is accused of 15 cases of commercial gang fraud, in one of the cases it remained an attempt.
The gang is said to have brought seniors by several hundred thousand euros.
After a mutual agreement with the public prosecutor and defense, the court guaranteed the 28-year-old a sentence of four and a half years to five years and three months for a “valuable confession”.
According to the indictment, the 28-year-old had formed a gang with other, separately prosecuted perpetrators in January 2019.
Among other things, they brought the seniors around 4.5 kilograms of gold, jewelry and cash worth several hundred thousand euros.
The seniors were put under pressure by alleged detective officers via call centers and induced to surrender their valuables.
The booty was taken to Turkey.
