Today (29th), most of the Korean peninsula was affected by yellow dust, and Beijing, China, suffered from the worst yellow dust the previous day, regained a clear sky.

According to the Beijing Environmental Monitoring Center, as of 9 a.m. local time on the 29th, Beijing's Air Quality Index (AQI) is 56, which is a'good' rating.

China AQI is divided into six stages: excellent (0-50), good (51-100), weak pollution (101-150), medium pollution (151-200), severe (201-300), severe (301-500). It is divided.

For each of the air quality measurement points installed in 35 Beijing, 13 are rated as'Excellent' and the rest are rated as'Good'.

Compared to the fact that the AQI across Beijing the previous day was rated'Severe', the weather has recovered in just 24 hours.

The concentration of fine dust (PM 10) also dropped to 56㎍/㎥.

In the morning of the previous day, the concentration of PM 10 in most areas of Beijing was over 2,500 ㎍/㎥, and in some regions it also exceeded 3,000 ㎍/㎥.

Accordingly, the Chinese Central Meteorological Agency replaced the yellow dust yellow warning in Beijing with the blue warning.

The yellow dust warning in China is in effect in four stages: blue, yellow, orange, and red, and the red warning is the most polluted.

An official from the Beijing Environmental Monitoring Center explained, "The yellow dust subsided last night as a relatively strong northwest wind blew."

Chinese meteorologists explain that this year, yellow dust occurs frequently and the intensity is strong.

The average number of yellow dust occurrences in China from January to March is 5.3, but this year it has occurred six times.

Rao Xiaoqin, a forecaster at the Beijing Meteorological Observatory, said, "The low rainfall and high temperatures in Mongolia and northwestern China have made it a good condition for yellow dust to occur."

On the other hand, Korea is suffering as yellow sand crosses the west sea and lands on the Korean Peninsula in the northwest wind.

As of this morning, yellow dust is observed in most regions of the country, with yellow dust warnings in effect in the southern Seoul metropolitan area (excluding the northern part), Yeongseo southern Gangwon, the western Chungcheong region, the western Jeolla region and western Gyeongbuk.

The Meteorological Agency said that yellow dust began to originate in Mongolia's Gobi Desert on the 26th, and on the 27th and yesterday, the pressure difference between the high pressure developed in Mongolia and the low pressure developed in China's Inner Mongolia plateau widened, and the strong wind caused yellow dust in the Chinese Inner Mongolia plateau. Explained that it was additionally initiated.

Meanwhile, China is very sensitive to the Korean expression'yellow dust from China'.

The country is also suffering damage from yellow dust that occurred in Mongolia, and it is argued that Korea uses China as its source whenever yellow dust and fine dust occur.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lizhen said at a regular briefing on the 16th, "The yellow dust started outside the borders of China, and China is just a place to go through."
