The super-large container ship'Ever Given', which was stranded on the Suez Canal and blocked the waterway, started moving again on the 29th (local time).



The Ever Given was restarted at around 3pm (10pm KST) on that day and moved to Greatbiter Lake, located in the middle of the Suez Canal.



The unprecedented disruption of the Suez Canal route ended in a week only after digging about 30,000㎥ of sand in the bow part of the accident ship.



The following is the main journal from the grounding of the Ever Given to the full lifting of the hull.



▲ March 23 = Ever Gibbon departing from China and heading for the Netherlands stranded in the middle of the Suez Canal.

Eight tugboats were put in immediately after the accident.

Trying to lift the hull by reducing the ballast water of the accident vessel.



▲ March 24 = A part of the ship in the accident floated on the water, but the ship could not be moved.



▲ March 25 = Suez Canal Management Administration (SCA) decides to temporarily suspend the operation of vessels in the canal to handle accident vessels.

Designated as rescue companies, Dutch'Smit Salvage' and Japan's Nippon Salvage.



▲ March 26th = 17,000㎥ of sand and mud was dug out, 87% of the total dredging work was completed, and it was dredged to a depth of 15m.



▲ March 27th = 20,000㎥ of sand was scooped out and 14 tugboats were put into operation.



▲ March 28th = 27,000㎥ of sand was dug at the prow and excavation was proceeded to a depth of 18m.



▲ March 29th morning = Succeeded in supporting the stern part.



▲ In the afternoon of March 29th = Fully lifted the hull and moved to Great Bitter Lake.
