Yesterday, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced the registration of the first cases of the British surge of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) in the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian territories recorded 1786 new cases of the virus.

The Gaza Strip, which is inhabited by nearly two million people, has recorded more than 63,000 cases of Coronavirus, including 604 deaths, while 81,600 doses of anti-virus vaccines have reached so far.

And the Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip announced that it is studying recommendations made to it regarding measures to reduce the epidemic situation in light of the escalating number of daily infections with the Coronavirus, explaining that it hopes that new measures will not be directed during the month of Ramadan, and indicated that this depends on the extent to which citizens adhere to measures Prevention and safety.

Two days ago, the ministry re-imposed a daily closure in the governorates of the Gaza Strip, amid warnings of an accelerating rate of daily infections and deaths from the Coronavirus, after its decline since the beginning of this year.

In a related context, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, announced yesterday that 1786 new cases of Coronavirus, including 815 cases in Gaza, were recorded, and 18 deaths were recorded within 24 hours.

The West Bank is subject to a partial closure from seven in the evening until six in the morning from Sunday to Thursday, and a total closure on Friday and Saturday to counter the spread of the Corona virus.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health database, 265,720 injuries have been recorded since the start of the pandemic about a year ago, in addition to 2,852 deaths.

The Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, called on the Doctors Syndicate yesterday to end its strike, which it announced a few days ago, due to the government's failure to abide by what was previously agreed upon with regard to salaries and bonuses.
