Würzburg (dpa / lby) - After “months of intensive investigations”, the police arrested six suspected drug dealers between the ages of 20 and 28 in a search operation.

In addition, around 20 kilograms of narcotics, including marijuana, crystal meth and MDMA, as well as alleged drug money and vehicles were seized, the police announced on Monday.

According to their own statements, the police and public prosecutor's office had been investigating the three suspected men and women in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge since October 2020 on suspicion of drug trafficking.

The police searched ten buildings on Wednesday.

Previously, a 25-year-old woman was arrested on a suspected drug procurement trip from Hesse to Lower Franconia.

In addition to around 20 kilograms of drugs, around 29,000 euros in alleged drug money as well as vehicles worth 50,000 euros and jewelry were confiscated.

During the operation, two police officers were slightly injured by a suspect who offered resistance.

The public prosecutor's office issued arrest warrants against the suspects.

On the basis of the urgent suspicion of illicit trading with narcotics in no small amount, they are being investigated in several cases.
