Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The state government wants to crack down on the application of the Corona emergency brake in hotspot regions in case of doubt.

"If we should have the impression that the emergency brake is being sat down on site, we as a country will intervene with clear instructions, among other things," said Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) on Monday of the dpa in Stuttgart.

Most recently there had been several urban and rural districts that initially did not consistently implement the emergency brake.

You have to do this if the limit of 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in a week has been exceeded for more than 3 days.

Lucha said the emergency brake applied «no ifs or buts».

The minister said the government could not enforce a blanket nationwide regulation for legal reasons.

After the judgment of the Administrative Court on night-time exit restrictions, this is no longer an option.

"Here it is primarily the district administrators who are called upon to put the emergency brake into effect with appropriate measures as soon as a 7-day incidence of 100 is exceeded three days in a row."

Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) announced at the weekend that the emergency brake would have to be strictly enforced.

"There is no longer any mistake."

For example, Stuttgart announced last week that it would wait for the new Corona regulation and only want to pull the emergency brake in the middle of the week.

Then, for example, shops and museums have to be closed again.

In addition, exit restrictions apply between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The district council considers the instructions in individual cases to be the wrong way.

The chief executive of the district assembly, Alexis von Komorowski, told the dpa that it would be better if the country created clear conditions in the corona regulation.

In view of the rapid increase in the number of infections in almost all circles, the argument that courts could overturn a nationwide regulation because there are great differences in local incidence is no longer applicable.
