Bonn (dpa / lnw) - In a new murder trial against a 32-year-old man, the Bonn district court sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment again on Monday.

The court rated the killing of the 62-year-old father with 30 stab wounds as an insidious murder.

The destruction of the 60-year-old mother, also with numerous knife wounds, was rated as manslaughter.

The court refrained from particularly serious guilt in the judgment.

The act occurred in late April 2019.

The Federal Court of Justice had overturned the judgment of the Bonn jury court, which had also sentenced the son to life imprisonment in November 2019, last November.

The chief judges had doubts as to whether the father's killing was insidious and therefore a murder.

In the renewed trial, the Bonn judges primarily pursued the defendant's motive: According to this, the 32-year-old German wanted to free himself with the knife wounds from his parents, who in his opinion had harassed him for years.

On the evening of the day of the incident it came to a head: he was - as he himself had declared after the arrest - "annoyed" by the parents who had patronized him forever.

The man from Weilerswist said that he just wanted to be quiet.

His defense lawyer had pleaded for double manslaughter and placement in a rehab clinic.

After the verdict, he announced revision.
