Hanau (dpa / lhe) - Because he is said to have hit his opponent after a dispute over a shopping cart, a 30-year-old man has to answer for attempted manslaughter before the Hanau district court from this Tuesday (9:30 a.m.).

According to the public prosecutor's office, a 42-year-old man and the defendant initially had an argument in a discounter in Schöneck (Main-Kinzig).

The loud arguments and mutual threatening gestures were then continued in the parking lot before the situation initially calmed down.

The 30-year-old then followed his adversary with his car.

A little later there was another confrontation.

The 30-year-old is said to have engaged reverse gear and driven around 60 meters in the limousine - apparently to make a run-up.

The prosecution assumes that he then gave full throttle and hit the 42-year-old.

The victim slipped over the roof and hit the sidewalk.

There the defendant is said to have kicked his opponent in the face.

The 42-year-old suffered a concussion as well as several broken bones, cracks and abrasions.

"The charge is attempted manslaughter because the accused could at least have accepted the death of the victim," said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office.
