China News Service, March 29. According to Malaysia's "Sin Chew Daily" report, this year's Tomb-sweeping Festival, the Malaysian government allowed people to go up the mountain to sweep graves under the standard operating procedures (SOP).

Although the vast majority of Yishan’s management announced that the mountain was closed for the Ching Ming Festival this year, a small part of Yishan was open. On March 28, there was still a week before the first day of the Qingming Festival. There were grave sweepers on Yishan, but only a few. .

Before the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Yishan was crowded with people at this time, all of whom were worshipping ancestors and sweeping tombs.

In 2020, due to administrative regulations, the government banned people from going to the mountains to sweep graves. Although the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sweeping tombs in Qingming were relaxed this year, allowing people to go to Yishan to worship their ancestors, but in the few open Yishan in Malacca, only a few families went to sweep the tombs.

According to some toll collectors, in the past one week before the Ching Ming Festival, there was a long fleet around Yishan, and more than 3,000 cleaning receipts were issued in one weekend.

However, at the same time this year, no more than 100 graves were visited by descendants.

At present, the management of several Yishan in Malacca State has announced the "closed mountain" and will not accept people to go to Yishan to pay homage to them. Most of the people are very cooperative, and there is no incident of conflict with the guards.

In the few places where there are open Yishan and cinerary pagodas, there are no large crowds.

Huizhou Yishan is open until April 18

The person in charge of Huizhou Yishan said that many young people did not go to the tomb because they did not know that Huizhou Yishan was not part of Yeluodong Yishan, and mistakenly thought that Huizhou Yishan was not open.

He said that according to the government's SOP, Huizhou Yishan is open from March 20 to April 18. People can come to sweep the grave by themselves, but they must follow the SOP.

"For the sake of safety, the elderly and children should not come. We open up Yishan and hope that more people can come to worship the ancestors. If you don't understand, you can call to inquire."

There are 1 entrances and exits at Yishan, Huizhou

The head of the Huizhou Guild Hall Youth League stated that the Guishan Guild Hall was opened in accordance with the government's SOP. However, on weekends, there will be guards and directors to maintain order at the scene from 7 am to 1 pm. Anyone who has any questions can ask on the spot.

The head of the delegation pointed out that as long as the people strictly abide by the government's SOP, before climbing to worship the ancestors, go to the Bogong Pavilion to scan the registration information and then fill in the form of the hall, then they can go up the mountain to sweep the tomb.

"We were on duty this morning and found that the people who came to sweep the graves were very cooperative. They have consciously abide by the SOP and will not embarrass the director or guard. The director and guard are stationed at the scene and will patrol Yishan from time to time to remind the faithful to comply with the SOP. ."

He said that Huizhou Yishan currently only maintains one entrance and one exit, so it is easy to control.

Hainan Club maintains the decision to close the mountain

According to the general affairs of the Hainan Guild Hall, guards have been hired to guard the three intersections of Marin Yishan. At the same time, a QR code is placed in the Bogong Temple for the public to scan.

He said that he thought that a large number of people would come to the ashes to worship their ancestors on Sunday, but the crowd was smaller than expected.

He pointed out that the Hainan Guild Hall still maintains the decision to close the mountain, so this year it did not levy grave cleaning fees from fellow villagers.

Marin Yishan covers an area of nearly 60 acres and has more than 3,000 graves.

"We are for the sake of our fellow villagers. We don't want anyone to be fined for violating the SOP for sweeping graves. So we insisted on the decision to close the mountain. At the same time, we also reported the decision to close the mountain to the Marlene Police Department."

However, the ashes at the Fude Temple at the Yishan intersection are open for people to come and worship.
