Berlin (dpa / bb) - The corona incidence continues to rise in Berlin.

On Monday, the number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days was 146.4, according to the health administration's status report.

The number of infected people rose by 575 to 144,586 cases since the pandemic began.

Since last Tuesday (incidence 102.3) the value has been above the critical level of 100 without interruption and has increased daily.

The incidence was highest in the Neukölln district at 211.3.

Four new coronavirus-related deaths have been reported.

The number of people who died rose to 3,043. 132,801 people are considered to have recovered.

The Berlin Corona traffic light continues to show red with the incidence. With the so-called R value, it remains in the green area at 1.23.

The R value indicates how many people an infected person infects on average.

17.8 percent of the intensive care beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients, almost as much as the day before.
