This was stated by Rear Admiral Alexander Karpov, Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (CPVS).

He said that the situation in the areas adjacent to the Saraqib and Miznas checkpoints in Idlib province and Abu-Zeidin in Aleppo province, which were opened with the assistance of the Russian CPVS, continues to deteriorate.

"Terrorist organizations, which have intensified their activities in the territory of Syria controlled by the Turkish armed forces, commit provocative shelling and block the movement of citizens and vehicles in the exit corridors," RIA Novosti quotes Karpov.

He noted that "in the current conditions, from March 30, the work of these checkpoints will be temporarily suspended until the situation stabilizes and conditions are created to ensure the safety of civilians."

Earlier it was reported that the militants of the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra * carried out 30 attacks in the Idlib de-escalation zone in the SAR.

“Jabhat al-Nusra” (“Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham”, “Jabhat Fath al-Sham”, “Front al-Nusra”) - the organization was recognized as terrorist by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dated December 29, 2014.
