Germany: Liberation of the stranded ship in the Suez Canal "very good news"

The Federal Association of German Industry Companies described the release of the "Evergiven" stranded ship in the Suez Canal as "very good news" for global supply chains.

Earlier today, Monday, the Suez Canal Authority announced the success of the ship’s float, and the official page of the Suez Canal Authority published a live broadcast to move the ship through the canal.

"Had it not been for the liberation of the ship, the problems in shipping traffic between Europe and Asia would have worsened with every other passing day," said Holger Loch, the association’s executive vice president.

At the same time, Lelouch said that delays are expected to continue, and explained that it will likely take three to six days to untie the crowding of about 400 ships, even with the successful opening of the canal, and once the canal is crossed again, the congestion will move to the ports.
