Lübeck (dpa / lno) - With a statement by the defendant, the murder trial against a 29-year-old man will continue on Tuesday (9.00 a.m.) in front of the Lübeck district court.
He is said to have seriously injured his former partner with 28 knife wounds in Lübeck in September 2020.
The 27-year-old mother of a nine-year-old daughter died on the scene.
On the first day of the trial three weeks ago, the German defendant initially did not comment on the allegations.
However, his defense lawyer announced that his client would make a statement on the next day of the hearing.
The public prosecutor's office suspects the motive for the crime to be the defendant's anger that the 27-year-old turned to another man.
