For all children and young people there are unique events that usher in a new phase of life.

Whether the school enrollment, the confirmation, the Abiball or the 18th birthday.

These are formative experiences that cannot be made up for, but which cannot even take place due to the current infection situation.

After all, who will celebrate their 18th birthday after they're 19 or even 20?

And how are you supposed to catch up on a prom when all potential participants live in different cities?

The government is of course working flat out to ensure that in a year's time it no longer looks like it and that these events can happen again.

It would be nice.

The Union is playing “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, the Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania complains about the government all the time, although her own party is a part of it (the state election campaign does not stop at Corona), and vaccines and rapid tests are in short supply.

It is all the more frustrating that things are looking bad, especially in Germany, and the government is failing.

Because in other countries, whether bigger or smaller, things work much better.

The vaccination certificate does not help the adolescents

If you now also hear that the EU wants to give people back their freedom with a green vaccination pass based on the Israeli model, then that is incredible.

More and more children, adolescents and young adults are falling ill.

Nevertheless, they are last to vaccinate.

And now should the elders who have already had the privilege of being vaccinated be the first to get the relaxations?

The senior citizens were able to experience all these unique things and did not have to do without here.

With the green vaccination card, however, the young people will not be able to catch up on their graduation ball or the final trip.

No.

The retirees will go to the North Sea and Baltic Sea or to Mallorca, just so as not to miss the annual vacation, where they can recover from the stressful everyday life, while the young people in Germany can go for a walk in pairs as if they were even seniors.

Most politicians are probably not aware of the problem.

And even if - this year there is a general election and the votes of the youngest eligible voters do not really matter.

It is the senior citizens who decisively decide the election and who must be satisfied so that they can elect the governing parties again.

Unfortunately, the pandemic reveals how simple politics is.

The first are already happily traveling to Mallorca again, although the Brazilian mutation is also spreading there.

The fact that there were almost half a million new infections in Brazil in the last week does not seem to matter to the vacationers or the government.

It is of course much more dangerous to meet with friends and celebrate Easter than to travel on a plane with a bunch of strangers.

But the whole thing has one good thing for all students: If the vacation on Mallorca is so safe and the high school graduates all give a "declaration of honor" that they really adhere to all measures, the final trip is no longer in the works Path.

Or?
