The incident occurred on October 28 on Prästgatan in Östersund.
A man received life-threatening injuries after being stabbed several times in the neck, neck, back and chest.
A 23-year-old man could be arrested on suspicion of the crime.
That man was charged in early March with attempted murder.
Close to completion
The trial at Östersund District Court ended on Monday and prosecutor Eva-Lena Rimér demanded 16 years in prison for the man.
She says it was very close that it would have been a completed murder.
The 23-year-old denies the crime and his defender demanded that the man be released.
The verdict will be announced on April 12.
