Potsdam (dpa / bb) - Brandenburg has exceeded the mark of 140 in the seven-day incidence.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week was around 141 on Monday, as the Ministry of Health announced.

The value was similarly high at the end of January.

Only the district of Uckermark is still below 100 with its seven-day incidence.

In Potsdam, where the shops with an appointment and a negative test have been open since Saturday, there is a threat of closure again soon.

If the value remains above 100 on Tuesday, the obligation to test must be withdrawn.

On Monday the incidence in the state capital was 117, significantly higher than on Saturday with 101.

The so-called emergency brake from the state's Corona regulation has so far been effective in twelve districts and the cities of Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder).

There, the most recent easing has been withdrawn: Only one household and one other person are allowed to meet, shops and museums are no longer open for date purchases.

Supermarkets and other shops for daily needs are excluded.

The Corona hotspot remains the Elbe-Elster district with a seven-day incidence of 269;

it is the only district with a value over 200. Nationwide, the health authorities counted 264 new corona cases, plus one death.

A week ago there were 123 new infections and two new deaths.
