Chemnitz (dpa / sn) - The Chemnitz start-up Staffbase has raised the equivalent of 122 million euros (145 million dollars) from investors in a financing round.

The company announced on Monday that it should drive international growth.

Most of the money comes from the US investor General Atlantic, with whom Staffbase is also entering into a strategic partnership.

Staffbase, founded in Chemnitz in 2014, offers solutions for internal corporate communication - including employee apps, mail newsletters and the intranet.

According to its own information, Staffbase employs around 450 people in eleven locations, including London, New York and Vancouver.

Head office is in Chemnitz.

At the beginning of March, the company merged with Bananatag, a Canadian provider of internal corporate communications.
