20 July 2019 Francesco Pelle, known as "Ciccio Pakistan", has made himself untraceable by mocking the confirmation of the sentence in the Supreme Court as the instigator of the 2006 Christmas massacre in which Maria Strangio was killed.
The episode, made known by Klaus Davi and confirmed to the AGI by investigative sources, dates back to last June, when Pelle, who was subject to the obligation to stay in Milan, went into hiding.
Pelle, in a wheelchair due to injuries sustained in an ambush in July 2006 in Africo, was arrested by the carabinieri in September 2008 in a clinic in Pavia, after being on the run for about a year.
