Biden's government's imminent policy toward North Korea...

John Bolton,'the prototype of the Washington super hard wave'

John Bolton is the Trump Administration's Foreign and Security Command Tower, who designed and led North Korea policy with Secretary of State Pompeo.

In fact, while working as a Washington correspondent, I had to see almost all of the interviews he had about North Korea.

At one time, even his Twitter was a person who had no choice but to pay close attention by pouring out important information enough to look into the breaking news push.

It is true that his ultra-strong assertion of strangling North Korea to achieve denuclearization by strangling North Korea made it feel as if it was blocking the spring days of the Korean peninsula at every major tipping point in North Korea's dialogue.

While Trump turned to appeasement toward North Korea, he became a person who stood at the forefront, but I think he is still an important person to understand what the Washington hawkish perspective is as the Biden government's policy toward North Korea is coming soon.

It is almost certain that the Biden administration's policy toward North Korea will reflect a stronger, principled policy than the Trump administration.

As it is a policy that will come after fierce debate by the strong-on in the United States, I think it is necessary for us to prepare a policy toward North Korea, even if it is somewhat offensive.

John Bolton currently has an enemy at the Foundation for American Security & Freedom.

They are still actively expressing their opinions on Twitter, and are making various efforts to infuse their views into foreign and security policies by contributing to the media and appearing on broadcasts.

At the end of the Trump administration, he received love calls from progressive media as whistleblowers who knew Trump's secrets.

I sent an email to Bolton and thought the answer wouldn't be coming soon, but it wasn't long before I was told that I would respond to the interview unexpectedly.

I thought it was a good opportunity to meet and see what he had in person, months after the publication of the memoir that brought megaton-level excommunication to diplomats.

I had to start asking my first question about the North Korean ballistic missile launch that took place just before the interview.

When asked what he thought of President Biden's reaction, he explained, "The most important point is that President Biden spoke of violations of the UN resolution."

However, he said, "I was disappointed because I didn't say what the United States would do about the violation," he repeatedly stressed, "It is very important that Biden set the goal of denuclearization of North Korea."

At the same time, it revealed the original view of the super hawk that "we need concrete and harsher reactions" from the start.

He expressed that he was surprised that the Biden administration took such a long time to review policies toward North Korea.

He stressed that there are claims within the United States that North Korea should be recognized as a nuclear power, and that was a serious mistake.

In the meantime, the presidents of the United States have suggested denuclearization as a goal, and have diagnosed that they have not been able to efficiently pursue that goal.

He said he believes the issue must have been discussed at the 2+2 talks held during the US State and Defense Ministers' visit to Korea this time.

Here, the Biden administration stressed that China should recognize that it is a major problem in North Korea's nuclear program.

He repeatedly explained that China has not been a mediator in North Korea for decades, and that China should be at the center of its policy toward North Korea.

Even after the Biden administration, the US, which is in extreme competition with China, has a side in line with the atmosphere of trying to somehow attract China to North Korea policy.

"I wouldn't be surprised if North Korea shoots ICBM."

When asked straight-forward if they thought North Korea had the ability to threaten the US mainland, Bolton explained that he believed North Korea would have produced nuclear warheads.

However, he said that ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) technology is not viewed as a completion stage.

As explained by many experts in North Korea, Bolton also said that North Korea lacks the technology to induce and re-entry ICBM.

Because of this, he noted that they would not be surprised if they would launch additional ICBMs in the near future, depending on their performance improvement needs.

He expressed that time is on the side of North Korea to proliferate nuclear weapons, and that it takes time to overcome the scientific and technical difficulties of having a nuclear weapon.

He said that during the Obama and Trump administrations, North Korea had had enough time to build transportable nuclear weapons.

"Kim Jong-un speaks of the economy, and Trump is also tempted by economic development"

Former President Trump, who tells the same story to stick to his ears, most often spoke of North Korea was the bright economic future of North Korea that would come from denuclearization.

The remarks that North Korea will prosper economically if it gives up its nuclear weapons has almost always been unheard of about North Korea.

Bolton explained that this was because Secretary General Kim Jong-un focused on economic issues when speaking with President Trump at the North American summit.

So, he said he intended to say that Trump was trying to seduce Kim Jong-un with economic development.

At the same time, as North Korea is still struggling economically, he also predicted that Kim Jong-un would make many promises to get relief from economic sanctions.

"I can't forget my determination"...

Stunningly Positive Kim Jong-un Reviews

I knew to some extent that Bolton evaluated Kim Jong-un positively, but I was surprised to appreciate it more than I thought.

The Machiavellian Bolton was enough to get the impression that Kim Jong-un was very attracted to his ability to dominate the organization.

Former Aide Bolton described General Secretary Kim Jong-un as "I saw him commanding with confidence and confidence."

Although there were mentions in his autobiography, he confirmed that Kim Jong-un took him to North Korea, showed him to the hardline, and said, "I want to show you that he is not such a bad person."

He also said that he understands what he wants to ease sanctions, and he can't forget to look very determined.

It was surprising to see that such a word came out of Bolton's mouth.

It was also confirmed that President Trump had said he would take Kim Jong-un to North Korea by means of an Air Force One, shortly after the breakdown of the Hanoi talks.

It was known that Matthew Pottinger, who recently served as Deputy Adviser for National Security at the White House, interviewed the BBC and asked for an Air Force One ride, which Bolton said was true.

At the time, all of the White House staff were stunned to hear it, and even Kim Jong-un seemed to be shocked.

I was worried about ‘what should I do when I receive this offer?’ but Kim Jong-un politely rejected the offer and expressed a sense of relief that he did not take any risks.

"Trump confused personal acquaintance with national diplomatic relations"

Everyone knows that Bolton and Trump have become enemies.

Trump cut off Bolton by tweeting and firing him, and since then, he's been between public places and tweeting about swearing at the level of'crazy'.

Bolton, on the other hand, revealed Trump's secrets with his memoirs, and continued to appear in the media during the election, preaching the logic that Trump should not be re-elected.

The fight between the two behind the scenes was so fierce as never before in the history of the US president.

In fact, I have watched Trump all the time in Washington, but it is difficult to understand that I suddenly fell in love with Kim Jong-un after experiencing a fierce conflict expressed as'flame and anger'.

When asked why this happened, Bolton replied, "Trump spontaneously evaluated foreign leaders and mistaken his personal relationship as a national diplomatic relationship."

Of course, acquaintance with normal individuals is important, but Trump explained that he did diplomacy only with personal acquaintance.

Putin and Xi Jinping knew that the two relationships were different, but they devalued that only Trump didn't know.

Trump, once a lord, was nothing more than a risk to Bolton endangering US diplomacy.

In my memoir, there was a part in my memoir that said it was a near-death expericene after hearing President Moon Jae-in and President Trump talking on the phone, and I was curious about what it was.

Pompeo also mentioned that when he heard this from Saudi Arabia, he thought he was having a heart attack, and that the two top staff laughed at each other.

(Of course, Pompeo completely denied it.) When I asked what he was talking about, he explained, "I was talking about the meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un, but he expressed it that way because Trump wasn't prepared too much."

Trump didn't make any serious mistakes on the phone at the time, but he lamented that Trump's diplomacy was at the fore.

He also said that he often disagrees with Biden, but at least he thinks he will be prepared according to the normal procedure when making calls between the leaders.

Deep-rooted North Korean mistrust that denies the dialogue itself...

The foreseeable shabby achievements

Bolton expressed deep-rooted distrust in negotiations with North Korea. His successor, former aide O'Brien, has mentioned the possibility of resuming dialogue with North Korea on the occasion of the Tokyo Olympics. When asked how to see the momentum of such dialogue, he answered, "I don't think North Korea will voluntarily give up its nuclear weapons." He explained that North Korea's promise to denuclearize has continued since the 1990s, but nothing has come true and the price of sanctions easing is immediate, but the promise of denuclearization will follow. He said that this kind of mistake should not be repeated. The perspective of the super hawk, who dislikes the attempts at the conversation itself, has not changed.

In the early days of serving as a Washington correspondent, I can't imagine it now, but Kim Young-cheol from North Korea appeared in Washington DC with Kim Jong-un's letter. The North Korean delegation held a room on the lower floor of the hotel accommodation where they stayed, covered their movements, and even broadcast live out of the blue in the hotel room. I never thought I would ask a North Korean question in Washington. At that time, while watching the dynamic movement of dialogue in North America, I even thought that the moment Kim Jong-un appeared in Washington was possible. However, it is unfortunate that the super-strong, who did not admit such dialogue itself, was the command tower for diplomatic and security. History does not yet know whether to record it fortunately or as unhappiness. However, we cannot but admit that these hardline factions are a huge force that truly exists in Washington. Trump, who only thinks of media exposure and improvises, and Bolton, who do not even view North Korea as their interlocutors, can only be seen as having implemented policies toward North Korea in different directions. Interviewing former aide Bolton, I thought that the shabby achievements of the splendid US-North Korea summit could have been predicted from the beginning.
