The National Police has opened a file on two agents who were recorded while they were detaining a young woman in Benidorm who
violated the curfew
and, apparently, other anti-covid regulations.
In a video of this intervention, which was
recorded from her home by a neighbor
of this Alicante municipality, the agents can be seen immobilizing the young woman and
giving her several blows with the truncheon
, and has been disseminated on social networks.
As sources from the Government Delegation in the Valencian Community have informed Efe, the National Police has taken a
statement from both agents
- who have not been arrested - within the framework of the aforementioned file.
These actions will be sent to the court, so that it is the judicial authorities who determine if the aforementioned police intervention incurred irregularities and if the agents deserve criminal reproach.
