Friedrichsdorf (dpa / lhe) - Lars Keitel prevailed in the mayoral election in Friedrichsdorf (Hochtaunuskreis) on Sunday.
The Green candidate received 52.66 percent of the vote.
CDU opponent Katja Gehrmann came to 47.34 percent.
The turnout was 51.37 percent.
The runoff had become necessary because in the first ballot on March 14, none of the five candidates who stood had achieved the required absolute majority.
At the time, Keitel received 31.9 percent, Gehrmann received 29.1 percent.
