Dietzenbach (dpa / lhe) - In the runoff election for the mayor's office on Sunday in Dietzenbach, Dieter Lang prevailed against the incumbent Jürgen Rogg (non-party).

According to the preliminary final result, the Social Democrat won the election in the district town of Offenbach with 60.06 percent of the vote.

The city announced this on its homepage after the votes were counted.

More than 22,000 eligible voters were called to the runoff election.

The turnout was 39.33 percent.

In the first ballot on March 14th, Rogg had just under received the most votes with 36.23 percent.

At that time, Lang was able to gather 34.85 percent of the voters behind him.

The Green candidate, René Bacher, received 28.92 percent of the vote.
