The deployment of the police was impressive Wednesday at dawn in the Villejean district of Rennes with around forty police officers and two Raid teams mobilized as part of an anti-narcotics operation.

It led to the arrest of six individuals born between 1983 and 2002. At the end of their custody, they were indicted for "drug trafficking in an organized gang, criminal association, money laundering and acquisition and detention. category A and B weapons ”.

Four of them were remanded in custody and the other two were placed under judicial supervision.

"If some recognize their participation in the facts, others dispute it", indicates the public prosecutor of Rennes in a press release, specifying that "the resales of this network took place in several points of deal in Rennes and in particular in Villejean".

The hideout discovered during a fire outbreak

This anti-drug operation had started on November 1 after the intervention of the firefighters for the start of a fire in an apartment located on Boulevard Marboeuf in Rennes.

On the spot, they had discovered more than 50 kilos of cannabis, more than 3 kilos of cocaine, heroin, more than 100,000 euros in cash as well as six weapons, some of which are large caliber.

Following the opening of a judicial investigation, the tenant of the apartment was arrested, indicted and imprisoned.

The investigations carried out by the Rennes judicial police continued in order to identify all the protagonists of this trafficking.
