Our homes have become increasingly important in pandemic times.

But for those who live on a few square meters, it can cause problems.

- You can get a little crazy in the end.

I know some who hang out in their rooms all day and do not have the opportunity to go home to their parents, it is tough for them, says 23-year-old student Emil Nikula who lives on 18 square meters.

"A bubble"

In Studentstaden, the average living space is 24 square meters per person according to statistics from Statistics Sweden, and research indicates that overcrowding increases the risk of the spread of infection.

At the same time, corona infection has been high among Uppsala's students in recent times.

Emil Nikula believes that there have been some parties at the beginning of the semester, but that many are starting to sharpen up again.

- We stay in a bubble but it is clear, you notice that it starts to run out of patience.
